Wow these pics are hilarious, amazing and God awful all at the same time! But they do you show you how much pride and "team spirit they have for their teams! I love it when people really get into the notion of team spirit just to prove how much of a fan they really are. These pics may be from the FIFA World Cup but in every sport there are fans like this! I think it is the coolest expression of sports creativity and I think the players really appreciate it, especially when their fans show up like this is masses. I have only done this once while cheering we got to wear pink ribbon tattoos to show our support for the breast cancer victims. But a lot of students at my college go as far as painting their stomachs spelling out the word LIONS in yellow and blue colors. I can say even when I was a cheerleader that kind of pumped me up and made cheer at my best, I was louder, on point with all of my cheers and daces so I can say from experience the fans/ crowd really does control the mood of the players!

Why Most Girls Hate Sports!
Why do guys think the girls hate sports? Well I don't think girls hate sports I think they hate the way that guys seem to obsess over sports. When my fiancé watches sports it's like I don't exist anymore unless it is time for a commercial break. Guys it's not fair to do this to us, I know that I am not the only girl this has happened to... Guys try to take the time out and teach us if we are asking a lot of questions, because obviously if we are asking all of these questions we want to know what’s going on instead of feeling like we are looking at a game in a foreign language. Now, this is not a blog to bash on guys but I would love to hear what other girls have to say about this because sometimes it get downright annoying. If you guys are annoyed by our questions Record the game, look at the highlights, go to ESPN. Just remember that game will be over within an hour or two but your girlfriend will be there forever, well I at least hope so!
College Football!
College Football is right around the corner and I am so excited! This year I am not cheer because I get to graduate early and for some odd reason the College of Mt. St. Joseph does not allow cheer leaders to cheer for one sport like most colleges does but that another annoyance for another time. I love cheering for football but I also love being in the stands with my friends! Besides the actual game the best part about college Football is the tailgating area, you see to grill out, show your school spirit and make lots of new friends (especially if you are a freshman). College football games gives people a chance to spend time with friends and family, decide if they want actually be on the field, or decide if that’s something they would never do lol. Nevertheless foot ball brings people together and ladies if you know your stuff you could impress a certain someone!
Coed Softball!
Ladies guys have crossed over to the dark side lol. Just kidding, but guys are playing softball now and this gives you guys a lot of bonding time! I played softball from 4th grade until I was in high school and boy was it some of the most fun summers of my life! Now that guys, well guys that I know, are playing softball this could be a fun way to do a group date! You can burn loads of calories while impressing the special someone or you can take this chance to let him “teach” you the game, from what I have experienced in the past guys love to show off their skills especially when it is a “dazzle in distress” situation. So now that is summer you girls can go out and be active and you can pack up a nice picnic basket to make it a bit longer of a “romantic date!

I love this because we girls are always trying to find ways to lose weight. Too many times have I seen my friends try to take on ridiculous diets… the cereal only diet, the Atkins diets, the Fruit only diet, oh and my favorite the water only diet. And the way that Celebrities look does not help at all and they promote these diets sometimes not knowing how dangerous the diets are and I feel it is not fair to their fans at all. I have also had friends take diet pills and think: “Oh it’s a diet pill so I can skip meals.” Dumb I say, just plain ignorant because they girls are trying to lose weight so fast and using dangerous measures coaches all over have been entering their player, girls and guys, in health and nutrition programs. These programs not only help players obtain a healthy lifestyle but it also gives them a realistic body image too. I feel the only healthy way to lose weight is to do the dirty work… Work out and eat healthy!

I think cheerleading is a sport and not only because I was a college cheerleader either. Cheerleading is a tough sport; we cheerleaders have to exert as much energy as a wrestler, a football player, or a volleyball player. Now I do feel that the school should try to comprise and figure out a way to keep both sports but you have to look at how much attention cheerleading brings to colleges all over. There are thousands of girls and BOYS, depending on how big the school is, apply to a school just because of how good the cheerleading squad/ team is. Now that’s not why I applied to the College of Mt. St. Joseph but I did enjoy trying out and being on a cheerleading team for the first time ever in my life. It gave me the motivation to keep up with my studies and helped me stay in shape. So I think cheerleading should be considered a sport because we have long practices, intense work outs , strategic “Plays (when we perform) and we treat our competitions and half time shows just like it’s a big game!

The World Cup: USA vs. Slovenia

All I can say is wow, what a game! Of course our US pride is going to come out watching a game such as this. Slovenia gave us a run for our money with making, what seemed to be, two effortless goals but the US seemed to never lose their passion throughout the game. Once we came to a draw with Slovenia it was an amazing finish. But we had a lot of bumps along the way with the calls the ref was making. I agree with many people when they say that we were cheated. We could have actually won and set Slovenia back, even if I weren’t American I still would have called differently if I were a ref. Please, tell me what you guys think because this was totally unfair to USA. And, I know this ref is going down in history as the worst ref ever and im pretty sure his job will be on the line and may be refing for little leagues now!

Sports of All Sorts!
As you all can see I have not blogged in a while but I am back! And, back with some changes too. I have talked to some of my girl friends and with the World Cup (aka a huge international soccer tournament) going on; they wanted some pointers on all sports. So, now I am up for the challenge to inform women all over about sports like basketball, baseball, football and many more! One of the big sports to talk about is how the Lakers ran away with the NBA Championship title for 2010. Whether you are a Celtics, Lakers, or not a fan at all you had to have heard something about the 7 game series. I, who wasn't really interested in basketball, even got excited while watching the games with my family.
Just watching these games is how I learned so much about basketball, you would have thought I would have learned from cheerleading, but that's another story! What I loved most was how passionate all of the players were and how close most of the games were. If any fans were watching game 2 Celtics shooting guard, Ray Allen made NBA finals history with making 8 3 pointers in one game. You also could tell Kobe Bryant was putting his all into the game, which is why he became NBA finals MVP! All in all both teams played really well, in every game there were minor mistakes but as every reporter, spectator and even the coaches agreed that the Lakers just wanted it more. Them wanting it more and all of the hard work throughout the season gave them a back to back championship win and very happy fans!

Picking The Best Team!
When picking the best team we can't do what we usually do... Like, picking the team with the cutest players, if they have players with the hottest bodies, or even the team your boyfriend likes. It's time to stop picking home teams just because you live in the same city. Its okay to like multiple teams and it's okay to not know anything about Football at all, the best thing is to go to the internet. You should look at the stats of the teams you are researching to get an idea of how good the team is as a whole. You can also use this as a conversation starter with your guy, I am sure he would love to show you how "macho" he is, with all of the spots info that he knows! You can also look at the stats of the players, this will let you enjoy some pretty good eye candy while getting the important info on the right Football team for you!
